Relationships: The Ultimate Path of Awakening
Apr 11, 2024If I were to ask you to define love, I’m guessing that somewhere in that definition would likely be a description of a feeling. Because that’s how we experience love…. as a feeling, right? But notice how, when we think that love is a feeling, it immediately becomes fleeting. It comes and goes. It’s unstable, because it’s subject to certain expectations being met…. I feel love when things go my way, when someone meets my needs or fulfills my desires. But what happens when those expectations aren’t met? The feeling of love diminishes, or sometimes, it disappears entirely. This understanding of love as a feeling, dependent on external circumstances, sets us up for disappointment and suffering. It makes love conditional, something that needs to be earned or can be lost, rather than a constant, unwavering experience in our lives.
But there's a different way to experience love, and in this video I share a personal story that caused a radical paradigm shift in my understanding of love. And that paradigm shift has profoundly affected all of my relationships.
This shift is accessible to anyone!
